‘Find it pretty fun’ - Travis Head on Ollie Robinson's aggressive send off to Usman Khawaja in first Ashes 2023

“I find it pretty fun. I had a few quiet words, jovial words, to him [Ollie Robinson] out there. It all makes for good fun and we’ll see where the next four Tests go," said Head.

Legendary cricketers Ricky Ponting, Matthew Hayden and Justin Langer have criticised Ollie Robinson for his expletive-laden send-off to Usman Khawaja in the first innings of the Edgbaston Test. However, as per Zak Crawley, a lot of such incidents can happen over the summer as the home team will be desperate to make a comeback and win the bragging rights after eight long years.

Talking about the same, Australia’s middle-order batter Travis Head stated that it is all fun and games but reminded that Robinson will have to improve his bowling if his real intention is to keep his place in the XI. He added saying that he is waiting to see how the remaining games will be played.

“I find it pretty fun. I had a few quiet words, jovial words, to him out there. It all makes for good fun and we’ll see where the next four Tests go. It didn’t go his way in the first one but he’s very competitive and he will want to step up. But if he doesn’t, I think they have got a few people at home that might want to get up his back,” Head was quoted as saying by Independent.

This team is truly just worried about what to do to win the second Test to go 2-0: Head

Head added saying that a lot of English players are having nice chats with the media about various topics but the Australian team is fully focused to win the second Test at Lord’s.

“Yeah, they have got this mantra they’re going at. Not just on the field but off the field they are throwing some nice chat out, but this team is truly just worried about what we need to do to win the second Test to go 2-0 up and put some pressure on them,” Head added.
