After meeting a severe car accident, Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant is currently admitted in the ICU ward of Max Hospital, Dehradun. However, the cricketer is hardly getting any rest as there’s a flood of visitors to meet the 25-year-old.

Pant’s family has expressed their concern about the same. Further, a medical team member looking after Pant believes that meeting all the visitors is making him lose energy, which should be preserved for faster recovery.

“It is important that Rishabh gets sufficient time to rest, not just physically but mentally too. He is still in pain due to the injuries sustained in the accident. He has to speak to visitors, which drains his energy that should be preserved for faster recovery. People planning to visit him should avoid it for now and let him rest,” a medical team member told TOI on Sunday.

There is no mechanism in place to filter visitors for Pant: Max Hospital staff

Numerous famous personalities, including the likes of Anil Kapoor, Anupam Kher, fellow cricketer Nitish Rana, Khanpur MLA Umesh Kumar, certain BCCI officials, DDCA members and a few local administrators have met Pant after his accident.

As per an administrative staff member of the Max Hospital, there currently is no manner to filter the visitors. The staff member also stated that since Pant's is a high-profile case, it has been problematic to deal with the number of visitors.

“There is no mechanism in place to filter visitors for Pant. Hospital visiting hours are from 11am to 1pm and 4pm to 5pm and only one visitor can meet a patient at any given time. Rishabh Pant’s case is a high-profile one due to which more visitors are streaming in and hence this problem,” the staff member said.
