Star Indian batter, Shikhar Dhawan has been facing a series of challenges, not only on the field but also in his personal life. Currently sidelined from the national team, Dhawan finds solace as the captain of the Punjab Kings in the Indian Premier League.

However, it's his personal life that has taken a toll, especially after his separation from his wife Ayesha Mukherjee. Navigating through a tough period, Dhawan recently shared his emotional statement on social media, revealing that he has been unable to meet his son Zoravar for a year.

"It’s been a year since I saw you in person, and now, for almost three months, I’ve been blocked from everywhere so Posting the same picture to wish you, my boy, a very Happy Birthday," Dhawan shared on his Instagram post.

This revelation comes after a Delhi court granted the cricketer divorce on grounds of "cruelty" inflicted by his estranged wife. In a heart-wrenching post, Dhawan disclosed,

Despite the court granting visitation rights, and allowing Dhawan to meet his son in India and Australia, the reality seems different. The emotional Instagram post expressed Dhawan's deep yearning for a connection, stating, "Even if I can’t connect with you directly, I connect with you through Telepathy. I am so proud of you, and I know you’re doing great and growing up nicely."

The court's directive for Ayesha to bring Zoravar to India for visits, including overnight stays and school holidays, has seemingly encountered obstacles. Dhawan's poignant message continued, "Papa always misses you and loves you. He’s always positive, waiting with a smile for the time when we will meet again by the Grace of God. Be naughty but not destructive, be a giver, be humble, compassionate, patient, and strong."

Despite the physical distance, Dhawan maintains a connection with his son through written messages, expressing his paternal love and curiosity about Zoravar's well-being. The cricketer's closing words resonate with love and hope, "Love you loads Zora, Papa."
