Gambhir’s LSG eyeing playoff berth

At present, Gambhir is with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) as the mentor of the franchise in the ongoing IPL 2023. Speaking about their campaign, Lucknow have played 11 games and are placed third on the IPL points table with 11 points and a Net Run Rate (NRR) of 0.294.

The side will need to swiftly get back to winning ways considering that it has lost two of its last three games, with one getting washed out. With three matches still to be played in the group stage, LSG will look to win the remaining fixtures and cement a spot in the playoffs.

The side endured a major blow in the form of regular skipper KL Rahul’s injury, as he is out for the remainder of the season. As Krunal Pandya shoulders the responsibility of leading the side, it will be interesting to see if Lucknow get back to winning ways. LSG lock horns with Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Saturday, May 13.
