‘Has to be Virat Kohli’ - Marnus Labuschagne reveals his dream batting partner from Fab four barring Steve Smith
'Watching him bat is easy on the eye - smooth bat swing,' - Labuschagne said about Rohit Sharma.
On Monday, March 27, the number one ranked Test batter in the world, Marnus Labuschangne, decided to interact with his fans and started a small Q&A session on Twitter. Within minutes, thousands of his followers asked him various questions, out of which the questions regarding Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were the hot favourites.
Labuschagne picked up one question and answered that he would love to bat alongside Virat Kohli among the Fab four if Steve Smith is not in consideration. The 28-year-old added that since they are good runners in-between the wicket, the duo can take a lot of 2s.
“Has to be @imVkohli, we'd run heaps of 2s,” Labuschagne replied.
Meanwhile, the Australia international has also lauded Rohit Sharma and stated that it’s very pleasant for him to watch the Indian skipper bat. He stated that the 35-year-old has a smooth bat swing, and that’s what he loves about the opener.
“More than one word, but watching him bat is easy on the eye - smooth bat swing,” Labuschagne said.
Labuschagne names RCB as his favourite IPL team
Later in the Q&A session, the Aussie sensation announced that Royal Challengers Bangalore is his favourite team in the Indian Premier League. Notably, in 15 years of the competition, the franchise has never won the trophy but has played some breathtaking cricket to entertain all its fans.
Meanwhile, in the 16th edition will return to Chinnaswamy Stadium for the first time in four years due to COVID-19. Notably, the franchise in 2023 has also felicitated two of their greatest cricketers in history in the form of AB de Villiers and Chris Gayle. The Faf du Plessis-led side inducted them into the RCB Hall of Fame for their enormous contribution to helping the franchise grow.
On the other hand, they will play their first game of the season against five-time champions Mumbai Indians on April 2 at their home venue.
