India and Jos Buttler’s England will be up for an exciting clash during the second semi-final of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022. Both sides have been sweating it out in the training sessions and will hope that it reflects well on the pitch on Thursday, November 10 at Adelaide.

India skipper Rohit Sharma has been terrific with some of his decisions on the field, however, he has been unable to hit the ground running with the bat. Former India international Mohammad Kaif believes that the opener will come well in the big matches and is the ‘X-Factor’ of the side.

"His (Rohit Sharma's) bat has not been talking much but I think that he is a big-match player. He likes playing against England and I will not be surprised at all if he scores big in that semi-final. He has that X-Factor, whenever there is pressure, he plays a match-winning knock," said Kaif in an interview with Sportskeeda.

Next match is the biggest one as captain: Mohammad Kaif

India will hope that their skipper swiftly attains top form and constructs a majestic knock against England in the semi-finals. Kaif further stated that the semi-final fixture for Rohit Sharma will prove to be the biggest one as a captain.

"I consider Rohit Sharma as a very good player, but the time has come where the next two matches are the most important ones. The next match is the biggest one for Rohit Sharma as captain, he has had a great record since taking over as T20 captain. I think he has brought an impact with his captaincy. The value he has brought in with his captaincy is immense," he added.

Rohit had dismal outings against Pakistan, South Africa, Bangladesh, and Zimbabwe enduring a string of low scores. The batter could only manage to get a fifty in the match against the Netherlands (53 runs) and will hope to get back in form against England and prove to be vital for the side.
