‘He postponed his wedding’ - Wasim Akram makes massive claim over David Miller playing in BPL
"David Miller was offered $150,000 to play three matches. He postponed his wedding," Akram said.
Former Pakistan pacer Wasim Akram recently came forward to make a sensational claim over Proteas batter David Miller’s wedding. It is worth noting that Miller competed for Fortune Barishal in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL 2024).
Akram came forward to claim that Miller was offered $150,000 (approximately Rs 1.24 crore) to play the last three matches of the BPL, even guiding his side to their first title of the tournament. It is worth noting that Miller recently married long-time girlfriend Camilla Harris in a star-studded event in Cape Town.
"I just found out today because we were discussing who won the BPL and we were not following because of the PSL. David Miller was offered $150,000 to play three matches. He postponed his wedding," Akram said A Sports' 'The Pavillion' show.

Abdullah should work in drama industry rather than cricket: Akram
Furthermore, Wasim Akram talked of the PSL 2024 match between Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United, where Abdullah Shafique did a 'silent’ celebration after taking a good catch to dismiss Imad Wasim. Abdullah took an exceptional catch at first slip and went on to put his finger on his lips as if he were telling the critics to shut up. However, the celebration did not sit well with Akram, as he expressed his displeasure over the same and opined that Shafique should work in the drama industry.
"No doubt, great catch but who is responsible for dropping 36 catches in Australia's Test series? Who will answer for that? Abdullah should work in the drama industry rather than cricket," he said on A Sports.
It is worth noting that Islamabad United are well into the knockout stages of the ongoing PSL 2024 and are scheduled to compete against Quetta Gladiators in Eliminator 1 of the tournament. Both sides will take centre stage at the National Stadium in Karachi on Friday, March 15.
