'He will be giving the selectors a migraine' - Ben Stokes showers praise on 'awesome' Harry Brook
"To come out here and play in the way he has done and show the world what he is all about is good for us going forward," Stokes said.
England Test skipper Ben Stokes has lauded emerging cricketer Harry Brook, saying that the middle-order sensation will give selectors migraines going forward. Brook scored a match-winning century in the just-concluded third Test match against Pakistan at the National Bank Arena in Karachi.
His 111-run knock in the first innings helped the Three Lions overhaul Pakistan’s total of 304 runs. The visitors were bundled out for 354 runs and also enjoyed a 50-run lead. Brook’s bragged a well-deserved Player of the Match award as England emerged victorious by eight wickets and blanked the hosts 3-0.

"It is exactly what you want when you're picking a team. You want to have decisions that are hard. Who to pick? You know. You much rather be in that situation than not. But Brooky has been outstanding this series. The way which he has played, the way he has taken the game on and the amount of runs he has scored,” said Ben Stokes while addressing the media after the conclusion of the Pakistan Test series.
"The strike-rate that he has scored at is incredible to watch. He is a very switched on man with the bat. The end of this year, obviously finished off a great summer for England. To think about all the runs he has scored for Yorkshire and to get into the team at the back end due to an unfortunate injury to Jonny (Bairstow). To come out here and play in the way he has done and show the world what he is all about is good for us going forward. He will be giving the selectors a migraine. Me and Baz a migraine as well. He has been awesome," he added.
Brook was also a part of the England squad that won the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia last month. He is doing an outstanding job in the middle-order for the Three Lions in absence of star batter Jonny Bairstow. Bairstow is out of action after breaking his leg while playing golf in September, which eventually ended up ruling him out of the T20 World Cup.
