Here is how the WTC 2021-23 points table looks like after ENG vs SA third Test

After losing the first Test match, team England made a strong comeback in the three-match Test series against South Africa and eventually clinched it after winning the final Test match by a margin of nine wickets.
Talking about the match, the Day 1 of the Test got washed out due to rain with play not commencing after the toss. Incidentally, the home team won the toss and opted to have a bowl first. Day 2 of the Test was called off following the demise of Queen Elizabeth II. On Day 3, the play finally began. An excellent bowling performance by the Three Lions pace battery ensured that South Africa surrendered on 118 runs in their first innings with express pacer Ollie Robinson grabbing a five-wicket haul, veteran pacer Stuart Broad took four wickets for his side while James Anderson scalped one wicket.
For South Africa, Marco Jansen top scored after amassing 30 runs, followed by Khaya Zondo 23 runs, and Keshav Maharaj 18 runs. After being bowled out for under 120 runs, the visiting team showed some character with the ball as they ensured that the Three Lions do not cross the 200-run mark in their first innings. For England, Ollie Pope top scored after scoring an excellent fifty with the bat.
England had a lead of 40 runs after the first innings
Trailing by just 40 runs, South Africa openers Dean Elgar and Sarel Erwee started well as they stitched a 58-run partnership for the first wicket. However, skipper Ben Stokes got the first wicket of Erwee. After the fall of the first wicket, the visiting team continued to lose wickets at regular intervals as they were bundled out for 169 runs, giving a target of 130 runs to England in their second innings.
English openers started with a bang as they stitched a 108-run partnership. At the start of Day 5, the visiting team managed to scalp the wicket of batter Alex Lees, but England completed an easy victory with opener Zak Crawley stroking an excellent fifty for his team.

Team Australia continue to top the table after winning six matches, South Africa continue to hold their second place after winning six matches, but they have now lost four matches in the current cycle. Sri Lanka, India and Pakistan are placed at third, fourth and fifth respectively. Meanwhile, England are still placed at the seventh spot but they have now won seven matches in the current cycle.
