Defending champions Gujarat Titans are having a great run in the Indian Premier League 2023 as they’re ranked at the apex spot in the points table with six wins from eight matches. The Hardik Pandya-led side are on a roll as they’ve won their last three matches after a rare loss against Rajasthan Royals in their fifth fixture.

Extending his greetings on Gujarat Day which is celebrated on May 1 every year, GT captain Hardik Pandya said that it was an honour for him to lead Gujarat Titans in IPL. Hardik further stated that their team represent the spirit of the people of Gujarat and always look to give them a reason to celebrate through their performances. Gujarat Day is celebrated on May 1 every year as the state came into existence on this day in 1960 through the Bombay Reorganisation Act.

"It is a great honour for me to lead the Gujarat Titans in the IPL. Whenever I walk onto the field, I endeavour to represent the spirit of the people of Gujarat and give them a reason to celebrate through our performances. The people of Gujarat continue to shower their love and support towards us - which we are blessed to have. Happy Gujarat Day to all our fans and supporters," said Pandya in a release.
