Flamboyant Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav has multiple tattoos on his body, including the names of his mother, father, wife, and national cap numbers (Test, ODI and T20I). Speaking about the same, the number one ranked T20I batter of the world stated that he inscribed the name of his mother and father in order to get permission for the remaining tattoos he had previously planned to get.
The cricketer also revealed that he has an evil eye tattoo on his hand because his wife has asked him to do so in order to keep the negative energy away. He also opened up on the lion tattoo he has on his hand.
“I have a tattoo of my mom and dad's names. This was my first tattoo, so I could get permission for the rest. My wife told me to get this tattoo (evil eye) because she feels mujhko nazar jaldi lagta hai,” Suryakumar stated while talking to JioCinema.
“I have a portrait of my mom and dad on my shoulder, it is 4-5 years old. It is my favourite. This is a calm lion. I am also a calm lion (referring to the tattoo on his arm), the cricketer added.
The top-order batter also has a tattoo of arrows on his upper arm. He revealed that he got it because it signifies that whenever life pulls one back, it does so to take him/her forward. “An example of it is my three ducks against Australia (laughs),” Suryakumar mentioned.
Notably, the Mumbai-born cricketer also has a unique tattoo on his upper arm, which eventually talks about the Maori tribe of New Zealand. Talking about the design, Surya explained that it brings luck and keeps him calm.
“When I was on tour to NZ, I got aware of this design of the Maori tribe. I met a person who told me that this design brings one luck and love and keeps you calm,” said the cricketer.
