Indian cricket team star batter Virat Kohli has many fans all over the world, but this time a lookalike Kartik Sharma is trending on social media. A Haryana-based software engineer, Kartik is in the spotlight for his resemblance to Kohli as his Instagram post has got over 59 thousand likes. He can be seen in a Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) jersey and visiting various stadiums.
Interestingly, Kartik dons a well-groomed beard and haircut similar to the former Indian skipper. He also shared his wish to meet his cricketing idol in the near future. In addition to this, last year Kohli tweeted a photo with his lookalikes when he was doing a brand shot.

“I know what you’re thinking, but I’m not Virat Kohli! I’m Kartik Sharma from Haryana – a software engineer. But yes, people swarm me with pictures everywhere I travel. And even though I couldn’t make a career out of it, cricket is my true passion and Virat Kohli is my idol. Hopefully one day, I’ll get to live my dream and meet him!" Kartik Sharma wrote on the social media post uploaded by his profile and Humans of Bombay’s official page.
“Total Xerox copy,” wrote a user on response to Kartik's post. “You are a convenient fan! Lol!” wrote another.
Indian cricketers and their lookalikes have always bagged the limelight and some have become overnight sensations and well-known celebrities. Earlier, one of Kohli’s lookalikes in Kerela named Rajeesh revealed that it is quite a process to look like the star cricketer as he trims his beard with the help of a professional to look like Kohli.
