"I think you need to play at the moment. Yes, they know that Jasprit can take wickets up front. He is going to be crucial at death when he bowls two overs," Morkel said.

The moment is ever so near for South Africa, the side is all set to play the T20 World Cup 2024 final against the Indian team. Both sides will lock horns at the Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados, on June 29. As the game approaches, there will be a lot of thoughts going on in the South Africa camp.

However, former cricketer Morne Morkel has come up with some much-needed advice for the Proteas. Taking on the unbeaten Indian team could prove to be quite the challenge for South Africa.

Morkel opined that South Africa should not overthink against the Men in Blue and should stick to the plan about dealing with the likes of Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav.

"I think you need to play at the moment. Yes, they know that Jasprit can take wickets up front. He is going to be crucial at death when he bowls two overs. So do they start pushing in a bit earlier in that batting innings to try and get to a respectable score?" Morkel told ESPNcricinfo.

" Honestly, I think we cannot overthink that. Kuldeep is obviously unbelievable in the middle for India, he is a wicket-taker. He can stop the game, create a lot of pressure. South Africa needs to take the nerves and those moments out of the equation and focus ball by ball," he added.

Where Jasprit Bumrah has been excellent with the ball, Kuldeep’s spin prowess has been second to none as well. Bumrah has already picked up 13 wickets in his seven matches, whereas Kuldeep has taken 10 wickets in just four matches. South Africa skipper Aiden Markram will be aware of how big of a threat the Indian bowling attack could be for the side in the final, and South Africa should look to stick to their existing plans for the side’s bowling attack.
