Star England batter Harry Brook has been making quite the name for himself. The 25-year-old recently ascended to third spot in the ICC Test batter rankings after his heroics for England in the ongoing series against the West Indies. Scoring a half-century at Lord's and a century at Trent Bridge in the series, comparisons have started to draw in for the ace batter.

With many fans comparing him to star batters of the past, Brook stays incredibly humble and continues to talk about how important it is to include other batters and put them in his game.

"I want to be my own better. I want to be Harry Brook, not anybody else, but nowadays you have to take different parts of other batters and put it into your game. There's so many good players out there. An example is Rooty playing the ball so late, or AB de Villiers hitting all around the ground, or Kevin Pietersen for his power,” Harry Brook was quoted as saying by ESPNcricinfo.

"I've done a little bit of that but not too much. Rooty has just gone eighth in the all-time Test runs list, so I'd be stupid to not be tapping into his cricket knowledge and learning a few things from him,” he added.

Furthermore, Brook came forward and branded Test cricket as his priority at the moment. Having played 14 Tests for Egland so far, Brook has managed to score 1376 runs to his name, scoring five centuries, and maintaining an average of 62.54 runs.

"I want to play every Test match I can for England, I don't want to think too far ahead. The Ashes is a long way away and we have a lot of Test cricket before then. My main focus is to stay in the moment and not get ahead of myself. There will be conversations with [Rob Key] and the head coaches but Test cricket is probably at the top of my list at the minute,” Brook said.
