Indian cricketer-turned-expert Sanjay Bangar’s child Anaya Bangar opened up on the difficulties of being a transgender woman. The 24-year-old influencer also opened up on some disturbing stories of senior cricketers after undergoing Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), during a recent interaction.

Bangar's interview has taken the world by storm. Apart from being known to be the daughter of Sanjay Bangar, Anaya is also known for her stories regarding her tough life as a transgender born as Aryan Bangar, and has even been active on social media regarding her life-transformation stories. The former India coach's daughter has also discussed some of her stories during the conversation, where she not only talked about how trans-women dealt with toxic masculinity in their lives but also shared a story of a getting harassed by one of the senior cricketers.

“Trans women are fantasized a lot. We are looked down upon very much. We are also human beings, we just want to be given equal respect. When I told my truth to an old player, he immediately said, let's go in your car, I want to sleep with you. I was very surprised and very scared that this person said such things to me,” Anaya revealed with Saurabh Dwivedi on Lallantop.

Sanjay Bangar’s career in cricket

Speaking of Anaya’s father, Sanjay Bangar’s career as a player has had a fairly modest where he has played 12 Test matches and 15 ODIs in international cricket. He had a decent record in domestic cricket, scored 8000+ runs in First-Class cricket, and has taken 300 wickets. He has also scored over 2500 runs and taken 92 wickets in the List-A format.

Apart from that, Bangar has also had a stint as a coach where he was not only involved with top IPL teams like Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Punjab Kings but was also the batting coach for the Indian team. He is currently doing a commentary stint for IPL 2025, voicing his honest opinions and insights.
