The annual conference of the International Cricket Council (ICC) is scheduled to take place in Singapore. The actual dates haven't been announced yet, but it could be around mid-July. The council is set to make a few key decisions based on the recommendations from the Cricket Committee.

India's former BCCI President and cricketer Sourav Ganguly is the chair of the Cricket Committee, which made a few suggestions regarding the change in Playing Conditions. Hence, the annual conference will be held to discuss them and various other matters that need their attention. The ICC decided to hold the conference in Singapore during the recent meeting in Zimbabwe.

Interestingly, this will be the first annual conference chaired by ICC Chairman Jay Shah. Moreover, the Council is also looking forward to creating a separate committee to look into the suggestions given by the Cricket Committee. The first suggestion was to scrap the usage of two new balls in ODI cricket. After the 25th over, only one ball will be used to help the bowlers have authority in the game and use reverse swing during the death overs.

Apart from that, a time limit of 60 seconds between overs in Tests can also be introduced as well. There were suggestions regarding the introduction of in-game clocks during the Test matches, which will help the captains keep an eye on the time.

Also, the U-19 Men's World Cup has been recommended to be in the T20 format, just like the women's U-19 World Cup. The ICC also had a discussion with the World Cricket Association (WCA). There will also be a restructuring of the ICC governance and a review of the existing financial distribution model during the meeting.
