Pakistan are hosting an ICC event for the first time since 1996. The country is poised back to bring back the lost glitter with the Champions Trophy 2025 scheduled to commence on February 19. A total of eight teams will vie for the coveted title and this edition is being held after a gap of over seven years. In the previous edition, Pakistan had beaten India in the final of the Champions Trophy 2017 in England. This made them the default host for the upcoming event.
Three venues are under renovation, which will host the global event. The stadiums in Rawalpindi, Karachi and Lahore are prepping up to turn into a stage where the best of the world tussle for the laurels. Ahead of the impending tournament, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has revealed the ticket prices for the spectators attending matches.
The prices for the Pakistan games start from as low as INR 620 to INR 7750 for the gallery view. Whereas, non-Pakistan games could cost the fans a ticket as low as INR 310 to INR 5580 in Karachi Stadium. The ticket prices differ from venue to venue and also the fixtures. While the Pakistan games have been capped at higher prices, other games see a relaxed price. The prices for India games in Dubai are yet to be revealed.

Meanwhile, the COO of the Emirates Cricket Board, Subhan Ahmed, who was also the former COO of the PCB came forward to put forth his views regarding the overall situation around the tickets for the marquee event. Ahmed expected that this time around, there would be a record crowd turning up for the Dubai leg of the Champions Trophy. Furthermore, he also added that the tickets for the ICC event will be available on a "first-served" basis.
“With so many Indians and Pakistanis living here, these games are more than just cricket; they’re a celebration,” he said speaking to Cricket Pakistan. “Fans from both sides come together to support their teams and enjoy the sport, creating an electric atmosphere,” Ahmed said. “We expect these matches to be very entertaining and hope to see record-breaking support from fans," said Ahmed as per the Indian Express.
“Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, ensuring fans from both India and Pakistan, as well as others, can enjoy the action,” he added “We’re committed to ensuring cricket lovers can attend without unnecessary hurdles. The UAE offers unmatched facilities and government support, making it a prime location for events, even at short notice,” he concluded.
Besides, the apex cricket governing body, ICC released a statement regarding the possible clashes when it comes to the hybrid model. Notably, after taking over as the top boss of the governing body, Jay Shah ensured the hybrid model as the solution to the possible loggerheads between the cricket boards, especially the PCB and BCCI.
“This will apply to the upcoming ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 (hosted by Pakistan), set to be played in February and March 2025, as well as the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 (hosted by India) and the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 (hosted by India and Sri Lanka),” the ICC said in their statement.
