India's star all-rounder Hardik Pandya said that he is feeling better with every match and is getting used to bowling in ODIs again. Hardik put in impressive spells against New Zealand in the second ODI at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur on Saturday (January 21). He took two valuable wickets of Devon Conway and Mitchell Santner while conceding just 16 runs from his six overs.

The 29-year-old star displayed acrobatic effort with a one-handed return-catch to dismiss in-form Conway and helped India bowl out New Zealand on just 108 runs while bowling first. Hardik also bowled seven overs in the first ODI in Hyderabad, and now seems like he has overcome his fitness issues while bowling. After his excellent spell against New Zealand, Hardik said that his body is feeling better and everything is coming on nicely and timely.

“A brilliant day to be honest, we used the wicket rightly and everything went well for us. That wasn’t bad at all (on the return catch). I am just getting used to bowling in ODIs again, my body is feeling better with every match, it’s coming on nicely and timely as well," Hardik Pandya told broadcasters during the mid-innings break.

We hit the right areas: Hardik Pandya

Apart from Hardik, Mohammed Shami made a big impact with three wickets for 18 while Washington Sundar got two for seven. New Zealand's top order collapsed as the pitch provided a lot of turn on the ball in powerplay overs. Hardik added that the Indian bowlers hit the right areas and kept testing the batters.

“We hit the right areas, kept testing the batters, one of those days when the edges went to the fielders and we grabbed the catches. This isn’t a 108-run wicket, but we took all our chances, Let the batters decide on how to bat, at the end of the day, it’s their call on how to chase this down," Hardik added.
