Inaugural International Masters League to be played in Navi Mumbai, Rajkot and Raipur from February 22

The D.Y. Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot and the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur will host the IML matches.

The stage is set for the highly anticipated International Masters League (IML), with the inaugural edition beginning from February 22 to March 16, 2025. Season 1 of the IML will witness the rekindling of rivalries, with all-time greats representing cricketing powerhouses like India, Sri Lanka, Australia, England, South Africa, and the West Indies.

The D.Y. Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot and the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur will host the IML matches.

The six participating teams will be captained by masters of the sport - India: Sachin Tendulkar, West Indies: Brian Lara, Sri Lanka: Kumar Sangakkara, Australia: Shane Watson, England: Eoin Morgan, South Africa: Jacques Kallis.

The International Masters League (IML) will be an annual T20 cricket tournament, initially featuring cricketing stars from six cricket-playing nations – India, Australia, South Africa, West Indies, England, and Sri Lanka. The tournament promises to rekindle memories and draw out new battles, as it brings back the magic of some of the game’s greatest players. Indian legend Sachin Tendulkar’s return is set to reignite excitement among millions of fans eagerly awaiting the Master Blaster’s magic with the bat once more across the 22 yards. 

Sunil Gavaskar, League Commissioner, IML, expressed his excitement about the league: “The International Masters League promises to showcase cricket in all its glory, as it brings together some of the finest players to ever grace the game.”
