IND vs AUS 2022: Virat Kohli receives special gift from fan after training session in Mohali

Virat Kohli has had a huge fan base in the country and his fans are always spotted everywhere following him. Ahead of the three-match T20I series against Australia, the 33-year-old received a special gift from one of his fans at the IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali. In a video released by Punjab Cricket Association on Instagram, a female fan can be seen presenting a portrait of Kohli to the star batter himself.

Kohli was also seen interacting with the fan about the handmade painting and it certainly won a lot of hearts on social media. Meanwhile, Kohli recently ended his century drought in the Asia Cup 2022 with a magnificent knock against Afghanistan in the Super 4 and his form was one of the biggest positives for India.

Kohli has been in the spotlight for an extended rough patch of form over the last three years. However, he managed to answer his critics by bringing his maiden T20I century and finished as the second-highest run-getter in the tournament with 276 runs in five innings. 

Meanwhile, in the video, the Indian cricketers including Hardik Pandya, Deepak Hooda, Bhuvneshwar Kumar were spotted entering the stadium to gear up for the practice session.

Rohit Sharma will have a big test coming up against a quality Australian side as the series is expected to be an ideal preparation for the mega ICC event next month. The likes of Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel have returned to the squad, while Umesh Yadav has replaced Mohammed Shami for the series after the latter tested positive for Covid-19.
