India and Australia are locking horns in the second ODI of the three-match series on Sunday, September 24 at Holkar Cricket Stadium, Indore. Being 1-0 ahead in the series, India were invited to bat first by Australian captain Steve Smith. However, the Men-in-Blue were rocked by an early dismissal of the opener Ruturaj Gaikwad in just the fourth over of the innings with just 16 runs on the board.
After the early blow, the Indian innings was stabilised with a 200-run stand between Shreyas Iyer and Shubman Gill. Once their stand got broken, captain KL Rahul walked to the crease and meant business right from the word go as he began dealing in boundaries. During the 35th over of the innings, the wicketkeeper batter launched a short delivery by Cameron Green soaring into the sky as it went outside of the stadium. The ball travelled a mammoth 94 metres as it made a crunch sound after it left his bat.
