India and England are all set to continue their ongoing five-game Test series by taking on each other in the fifth and final Test of the series at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala, starting on Thursday, March 7. The game could only prove to be consolation for England and the hosts, as the Rohit Sharma-led side has already clinched the series after having won the second, third, and fourth Tests of the series.
However, as the final Test approached, a weather update was provided for the clash in Dharamshala. The fifth Test between India and England is expected to face several interruptions due to adverse weather conditions, with sleet expected to appear during the match. Furthermore, the temperature is expected to drop as low as 1 degree Celsius, which could rule out the possibility of a match happening.
Known for its scenic beauty and heavenly landscape, the high altitude of Dharamshala has always posed a risk to the smooth conduct of a Test match. The weather update suggested that sleet is expected to hit the city in the early stages of the fifth Test. For the unversed, sleet is a mixture of rain droplets and partially melted ice.

Team India had a tough time in Mohali due to freezing cold conditions earlier this year
It is also worth noting that earlier in the year, the Indian team struggled to field in a game in Mohali, where the temperature dropped to 10° Celsius, and with the expected temperature in Dharamshala dropping to 1 degree, any chance of a game happening in such conditions could be very unlikely.
Team India have already clinched the five-game Test series, performing brilliantly in Vizag, Rajkot, and Ranchi. The side did ended up on the losing side in the first Test of the series in Hyderabad, but have significantly improved on their performances in recent matches.
