Ace Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah is all set to miss out on the fourth Test of the ongoing series against England for better workload management. The 30-year-old has been in magnificent form and has been one of the most crucial players to the Indian team’s success in the five-match series so far.

Being allowed to rest for the fourth Test, Bumrah is expected to travel to Ahmedabad, which is a four-hour drive from Rajkot. Bumrah, the leading wicket-taker of the series (17 wickets at 13.64), has already sent down 80.5 overs in the three games so far.

It is interesting to note that star pacer Mohammed Siraj was rested similarly for the second Test in Vizag, and no information has come forward on whether the BCCI will seek a replacement player in Bumrah’s absence.

India aim to clinch series in Ranchi

The Indian team have all to play for as the fourth Test against England approaches. After enthralling battles in the first three Tests, both sides will now take centre stage at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi from Friday, February 23.

Where England will look to level the series, the hosts will be keen on registering yet another dominant win to clinch the five-game affair. Led by Rohit Sharma, India put forth a magnificent performance in the third Test of the series. Both sides came into the clash with the scores level, and after posing 400+ totals in both innings, the Indian team managed to win the game in dominant fashion by 434 runs.

The clash saw many marvellous performances from some stars as well. Youngster Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a double century yet again with Sarfaraz Khan leaving his stamp on international cricket with an impressive display on his debut.
