Team India will lock horn with Asian Champions Sri Lanka in a three-match ODI series starting from January 10 after sealing the three-match T20I series 2-1. Regular India captain Rohit Sharma, meanwhile, is set to feature in the ODI matches for the side with the opening game of the series set to be played in Guwahati.

In the 50-over format, Team India have a massive lead with 93 wins in 162 games whereas the Lankan Lions winning the clash on 57 occasions with 11 matches yielding no result and one match resulting in a tie. After Guwahati, the ODI series will move to Kolkata and Thiruvananthapuram with the tour concluding January 15.

As far as the recently concluded T20I series is concerned, India started well with a thrilling two-run win at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Sri Lanka then made a stunning comeback posting 206 runs in must-win game in Pune. India fell 16 runs short of the target and the series was levelled. 

The third and final T20I saw Suryakumar Yadav playing a majestic knock smashing his third T20I ton. India slammed 228 runs in their 20 overs after opting to bat first. In response, Sri Lanka crumbled under pressure and were folded only for 137 conceding the match and series eventually.
