Former Sri Lanka captain Kumar Sangakkara rang the iconic bell at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata for the commencement of the 2nd ODI between India and Sri Lanka on Thursday.

The "Bell" is an iconic symbol of the Eden Gardens. In 2016, the bell was added to the stadium to ring in the start of day's play for Test cricket, ODI and T20I matches. 1983 World Cup winning captain Kapil Dev was the first person to ring the bell to start the Test match between India and New Zealand in September 2016.
