Indian team displaced Australia in the latest ICC Test team rankings and now top the chart across all formats. The Men in Blue have been at the top of T20I rankings for months and recently acquired the top spot in ODIs as well. Their latest Test win over Australia in Nagpur helped them rise to the top of the rankings with 115 points, four more than Australia.

Before 2023, the Indian team topped the T20I rankings chart despite their failure to reach the final of the T20 World Cup 2022 and Asia Cup 2022. India are unbeaten across formats in 2023 so far, with ODI and T20I series win over Sri Lanka and New Zealand at home. They dethroned New Zealand in the ICC ODI rankings after their 3-0 series win at home last month and now maintain a two-point lead over Australia in the chart.

Playing in their first-ever Test of 2023, the Indian team beat Australia by innings and 132 runs in the first Test of the four-match series. India and Australia are also competing for a place in World Test Championship final and a series win in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023 will play a crucial role.

Meanwhile, England rank third in the ICC Test team chart while New Zealand sit in the fourth position with 100 points. Both England and New Zealand are scheduled to play two-match Test series, starting on February 16 at Mount Maunganui.

After securing a crucial win in Nagpur Test, the Indian team enters the second Test in Delhi starting on February 17 as favorites. In-form batter Shreyas Iyer has joined the Indian team for the second Test after missing the opening match due to a delay in his recovery at NCA.

Meanwhile, For Australia, left-arm spinner Matthew Kuhnemann has replaced Mitchell Swepson for the Delhi Test as the latter has returned home for the birth of his first child.
