The game of Cricket has entertained the crowds in various intriguing ways over the years. Historically, after the game started in coloured apparel and white ball, the excitement level only went a notch up. Similarly, after the introduction of the coveted Indian Premier League (IPL), the stars of the game became closer to their fans by appearing for their respective cities. In the same vein, after the advent of social media, many fans also displayed their passion and fondness for Indian and foreign cricketers alike, who seemed to enjoy the Indian way of life and hospitality.

But like we say there are two sides to a coin, similarly in cricket sometimes being passionate about players leads one to the wrong path. Some people go off the grid to do things which have never happened before especially when it involves half the team. Yes! Not long ago, while travelling from Bangalore to Delhi, some things and equipment used in cricket which belonged to Delhi Capitals' players were found to be missing. Notably, some bats and other cricket gear of key players like the DC skipper, David Warner and his countrymate, Mitchell Marsh, were found missing.

Consequently, soon after getting the information about possible theft, the logistics company filed a complaint in Bangalore seeking the help of the police to sort out the matter. Notably, for the IPL 2023 season, the Capitals had availed the service of a logistics firm to help them in transporting their luggage and equipment from one city to another. Notably, around 16 Lakhs worth of goods were reportedly missing.

However, in a fresh development, star DC skipper and Australian batter, David Warner, took to his Instagram to inform his fans that most of the missing equipment including his bats have been found. Furthermore, he did not forget to thank the police to nab the culprits behind this incident.

"They found the culprits. Few missing but still thank you," Warner wrote in his post.

Furthermore, he did not forget to thank the police to nab the culprits behind this incident and seemingly hopes that the rest of the stolen goods will be recovered in due time as well.

Warner led from the front with his fiery knock to help Delhi Capitals to clinch their first victory

After having a horrid run so far in the IPL 2023 season, the Delhi Capitals bowler showed brilliant discipline and execution of their plans to restrict their opponents to a low score in a rain-marred game. The DC were playing against the KKR at home in Delhi on Thursday, April 20. Thereafter, fans got to witness the vintage David Warner as the skipper led from the front and played a fiery knock (57 off 41 balls) which included 11 boundaries. This meant that through most of his stay at the crease, the Aussie dealt in boundaries tormenting the KKR bowlers on a tricky pitch.

Consequently, Delhi Capitals finally opened their account in the ongoing IPL 2023. They beat KKR by four wickets in a last-over thriller. Speaking of some notable performances, apart from Warner, Axar Patel picked up two wickets by conceding just 13 runs in three overs and also stayed till the end by scoring unbeaten 19 runs to finish the match. Moreover, Kuldeep Yadav, Anrich Nortje and Ishant Sharma, too, picked up two wickets each to restrict Delhi to a paltry total of 127 in their 20-over quota.

The key highlight of that match was Warner's aggressive batting through the powerplay. It is worth mentioning that out of 12 boundaries, 11 fours came from the DC skipper's bat. Even though the KKR spinners dragged the game back in the middle overs of the match, the DC batters stood tall in the last.
