Bangladesh batting sensation Litton Das has said that sharing the dressing room with big players in IPL 2023 will go a long way in helping his game and boosting his mental strength. Litton has been bought by the Kolkata Knight Riders at his base price of INR 50 lakh.
He will be playing alongside his Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan in IPL 2023. At the same time, the Dinajpur cricketer also explained about the importance of playing at a big platform like the Indian Premier League.
The IPL is a huge platform and you get to play high-intensity games: Litton Das
“The IPL is a huge platform and you get to play high-intensity games. Sharing the dressing room with some of the big names in world cricket will help me immensely, because the more you get to know them, the better it is for you to pick their brains and learn a thing or two,” said Litton while speaking to Sportstar in an exclusive interview.
“Once you interact with them, it will help me better my game and boost my mental strength,” he added.
At the same time, Das also went on to mention that he has a keen desire to play county cricket in order to improve his game, but a packed international calendar does not allow him to do so.
“I am definitely thinking about it (county cricket). But the problem is that we have a packed international schedule and it is difficult to squeeze out some time for county cricket. We play throughout the year, so if there’s a window, I will try to play in county cricket because I can play there for a couple of seasons, it will help me improve my game,” he said.
Litton was one of the key performers for Bangladesh in the recently concluded home series against India. He registered scores of 41, 7, and 29 in the ODI series.
The dynamic batter scored a valuable 73 in the second innings of the final Test in Mirpur that eventually helped Bangladesh set India a 145-run target on a challenging wicket.
