IPL 2023: Mumbai Indians appoint Arunkumar Jagadeesh as assistant batting coach
Arunkumar Jagadeesh was previously the batting coach of Karnataka that won the 2013-14 and 2014-15 season in the Ranji Trophy.
Five-time IPL winners Mumbai Indians have named Arunkumar Jagadeesh as the assistant batting coach ahead of IPL 2023. The franchise took to their social media to announce the new addition to the management ahead of the sixteenth edition.
Arun was previously a part of Karnataka’s Ranji Trophy, Irani Trophy and the Vijay Hazare Trophy as their batting coach. During his stint with the side, Karnataka won consecutive titles in the 2013-14 and 2014-15 season in the Ranji Trophy.
Jagadeesh was previously the USA men's team's head coach in early 2020. Under him, the USA team registered its biggest win over a Full Member team, emerging victorious against Ireland at home in a 1-1 series draw in Florida.

Meanwhile, the five-time champions broke the bank for star Australia all-rounder Cameron Green, making him their most expensive buy in IPL history in the recent auction. MI were looking to bring in a star all-rounder to fill the Kieron Pollard-sized void after the Caribbean all-rounder announced his retirement from the tournament.
