Approaching his 104th year, Ramdas remains a symbol of enduring love for cricket, especially the fast-paced nature of T20 games. "Absolutely," he confirms with enthusiasm when the possibility of meeting Dhoni is mentioned, his passion evident even through the screen.
Ramdas reminisced about his cricketing days, expressing a childhood interest in the sport despite a fear of being hit. He fondly remembered bowling but admitted to hesitance in playing. He found joy in watching cricket on TV, particularly T20 games for their quick pace.
“While I was studying school, I was interested in cricket. But I was also afraid of getting hit. I used to bowl. “I love cricket, but I am afraid of playing cricket. I watch it on TV. 20 overs games finish quickly. They don’t drag on. I like it,” he said.
As CSK compete in the IPL standings, Ramdas stands as a pillar of steadfast support, cheering them on from the comfort of his living room. With four wins and four losses this season, CSK aim to build on their momentum in upcoming matches, fueled by the unwavering spirit of fans like Ramdas and many more.
