Gujarat Titans will miss the services of Robin Minz at the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 after the wicketkeeper-batter encountered a horrific bike accident on Saturday, March 16.

Minz was roped in by the former champions for INR 3.60 crore. He was the first tribal player picked in the history of the IPL auction. However, he will have to wait for his debut in the cash-rich league as the Titans have added Karnataka wicketkeeper-batter BR Sharath as his replacement.

On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals have also made a forced change to their squad. After Adam Zampa opted out of the tournament citing personal reasons, the Sanju Samson-led side have replaced him with Mumbai off-spinner Tanush Kotian.

Sharath has played 28 T20 matches in his career so far and has an average of 15.61 and a strike rate of 118.84. While these stats don't make for a great reading, there are many examples of players who have done well in the IPL after coming into the tournament on the back of dismal domestic numbers.

Meanwhile, Kotian was one of the star performers of Mumbai's Ranji Trophy-winning campaign this year. He took 29 wickets and also notched up five fifties and one century. Kotian has picked up 24 wickets from 23 matches at an average of 20.04 in his T20 career. He has an economy rate of just 6.07. The 25-year-old will be high on confidence and raring to go if he gets an opportunity in IPL 2024.

Kumar Sangakkara, Director of Cricket, Rajasthan Royals, welcomed the player to the franchise, "Tanush was one of the players we had identified and have followed very closely over the last year, given his versatility and potential. He has since produced consistent performances, and has also had an exceptional Ranji Trophy season. We believe he can add more value and depth to the team's set-up with his all-round attributes, and we are looking forward to having him contribute to the franchise this season.”
