IPL 2024: Fan invades field to meet MS Dhoni during GT vs CSK match

During the electrifying and in the last over of the match, the fervour of cricket fans reached its peak as MS Dhoni, the iconic former captain of the Chennai Super Kings, was present. Amidst the intense ambience of the stadium, a devoted MS Dhoni fan couldn't contain his excitement when he spotted his cricketing idol.

As MS Dhoni waited for the TV umpire to make a decision during the 20th over of the GT vs. CSK match in Ahmedabad, a devoted fan went to the pitch to see his favourite player, Thala.

MS Dhoni jokingly continued to run in the opposite way before halting, leaving him dumbfounded for a few seconds. The fan then showed his appreciation for the illustrious former captain of CSK by bending down and touching his feet.

GT beat CSK by 35 runs 

In the Indian Premier League 2024, Gujarat Titans (GT) took on Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in match 59. Ruturaj Gaikwad, the captain of CSK, won the toss and decided to bowl against the home team on Friday. The Chennai Super Kings had to chase a 232-run total that the Titans had set. GT beat CSK by 35 runs.

Gujarat Titans gave a rough start to Chennai Super Kings as the openers were unstoppable and were smashing boundaries every over. GT openers Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill put up a partnership of 207 runs for the first wicket. Sai Sudharsan scored 103 runs off 51 balls and skipper Shubman Gill scored 104 runs off 55 balls.
