The Indian Premier League 2024 (IPL 2024) has been a blockbuster season already with several viewership records being shattered after the first 28 matches of the tournament. The sixes meter has gone for a toss as well, as the ongoing edition witnessed the fastest 300 sixes ever recorded in the tournament’s history with the landmark being achieved in just 17 matches.
With the ever-growing popularity of IPL, the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) is leaving no stone unturned to take the tournament to each and every fan in the country through the IPL fan park. The concept which began in 2015, aims to bring fans a bit closer to the game giving them a stadium-like feel in their respective cities.
The IPL fan parks are majorly held in the cities which don’t host cricket matches in general and hence to fill that void in fan’s hearts of not being able to witness the game in a stadium, the BCCI decided to come up with the concept.

To bring a stadium-like atmosphere to life at fan parks, fans get to witness the matches on big screens along with music, food court, games and fun activities. They can even cheer for their favourite teams and players by sporting their merchandise which is available at each and every park.
There’s no dearth of entertainment for the cricket fanatics as fan chants and loud cheers are echoed in the arena making the atmosphere lively. For the ongoing 17th edition of the IPL, the BCCI will be hosting fan parks in 50 cities.
Meerut, Varanasi, Bikaner, Midnapore, Solapur, Nagpur, Madurai, Coimbatore, Dehradun, Rajkot, Nadiad, Mysore, Jamshedpur, Patiala and Nizamabad hosted the fan parks in the first phase of the IPL.
