Bangladesh's fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman has been permitted to extend his ongoing term with the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League 2024, as confirmed by the Bangladesh Cricket Board's Cricket Operations chairman, Jalal Yunus. Mustafizur was supposed to return to Bangladesh on May 1 to prepare for the Tigers' five-match T20I series against Zimbabwe. However, he will now play in CSK's game against Punjab Kings on the same day and then fly to Dhaka.
This implies that the pacer will be able to play four more matches and add to his current tally of 10 wickets, which he has taken in five matches with an economy rate of 9.15. CSK will play Lucknow Super Giants on April 19 in Lucknow, host KL Rahul-led side on April 23, then take on Punjab at home on April 28 before playing them away on May 1.
