Virat Kohli struck his 8th IPL century to help Royal Challengers Bengaluru to 183/3 from their 20 overs. Earlier in the day Sanju Samson won the toss and chose to bowl once again. Rajasthan Royals had come into the game having won all their three games so far.

Faf du Plessis finally found form to score 44 runs from 33 balls with two fours and two sixes. The RCB openers added 125 runs for the first wicket before Yuzvendra Chahal got the wicket of Du Plessis. With a single in the fourth ball of the 19th over of the innings, Virat Kohli reached the three-figure mark to massive applause from the crowd.

The early wicket of Yashasvi Jaiswal didn’t deter RR batters, Sanju Samson and Jos Buttler. Without taking too many risks the two batters kept the runs ticking with some crisp boundaries.

Rajasthan Royals: 1st Strategic Time-out (77/1 from 8 overs)

Chasing 184 to win, Rajasthan Royals saw their opener Jos Buttler get back to good form. Sanju Samson played the perfect second fiddle as RR went into the first time-out without losing a wicket.

Century: Jos Buttler (off 58 balls)

With just one run needed to win with six balls to go, Jos Buttler hit Cameron Green for a huge six. This gave the RR opener his sixth IPL ton in what was his 100th IPL game. For his part Jos Buttler was happy as he jumped in delight and celebrated wildly.
