Former Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma made headlines ahead of his side’s upcoming clash against Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2024. It is worth noting that the five-time champions will take on RR at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai in the 14th game of the tournament on Monday, April 1.

As the entire MI squad travelled to Wankhede in the team bus, former skipper Rohit Sharma caught the eye of the media after he was seen ditching the bus and travelling to the stadium in his own Range Rover autobiography.

Another thing that caught everyone’s attention was the special number plate on his personal vehicle. His car’s number plate features the number 264, which is the former skipper’s highest ODI score that he scored against Sri Lanka in 2014.

Mumbai Indians looking for first IPL 2024 win

The ongoing IPL 2024 campaign has not been kind to the Hardik Pandya-led Mumbai Indians. The five-time champions have played two games in the tournament so far, against Gujarat Titans and Sunrisers Hyderabad, and they lost both matches.

Currently, MI sits in 10th place in the IPL 2024 standings with no points in two matches. On the other hand, a clash against Rajasthan Royals could prove to be very tough for MI seeing RR’s form.

Led by Sanju Samson, Rajasthan Royals have been in impeccable form, winning both of their matches so far. The inaugural champions breezed past Lucknow Super Giants and Delhi Capitals and will be looking to provide the same treatment to Mumbai Indians.

However, defeating the five-time champions at the Wankhede Stadium will be no easy task and Sanju Samson’s men will look to be on top of their game if they are looking to register their third win of the season.
