Royal Challengers Bengaluru will take on Chennai Super Kings in Match 68 of the Indian Premier League 2024 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on May 18. The game is deemed as the virtual knockout game as both teams need a desperate win to get into the playoffs. While CSK stand at 14 points in 13 games, RCB have accumulated 12 points in 13 games.

RCB have lost the services of Will Jacks and Reece Topley as they have returned home for national duties. The changes have given the team considerable headache as they must avoid the combination that had worked for them in a five-win streak. On the other hand, CSK are grappling with their dismal performance in the form of their opening pair. They tried with Rachin Ravindra in the last game, but the move did not bore any fruit.

Amidst all this gung-ho, Bengaluru weather is there to spoil the party for the fans of both franchises. The much sought-after tussle is on the brink of getting washed out.

What will happen if RR vs PBKS game washes out?

As per Accuweather, there will be 99 per cent cloud cover around the stadium with a couple of showers and a thunderstorm in the afternoon. In the evening, there is a 74 per cent chance of rain while the temperature will fluctuate from 30-34 degrees Celsius. If the game does get washed out, CSK will be in a better position than RCB with 15 points against the latter’s 13. They will be solidifying their playoff berth.
