After a spell on the sidelines due to a sports hernia surgery and subsequent ankle injury, Suryakumar is back in action, ready to ignite the IPL stage once again.
Team India's star batter, Suryakumar Yadav, has finally made his much-awaited return to the Mumbai Indians (MI) camp, injecting a much-needed boost of energy ahead of their clash with the Delhi Capitals (DC) in the IPL 2024. After a spell on the sidelines due to a sports hernia surgery and subsequent ankle injury, Suryakumar is back in action, ready to ignite the IPL stage once again.
The 33-year-old maestro was spotted training hard with the Mumbai squad at the Wankhede Stadium, gearing up for his comeback match on Sunday, April 7. The Mumbai Indians, in a gesture that thrilled fans, shared glimpses of Suryakumar's practice session on their social media platforms, showcasing his trademark 'Supla Shot' with finesse.
Suryakumar's return couldn't have come at a better time for the struggling Mumbai Indians. Under the leadership of Hardik Pandya, MI have endured a lackluster start to the IPL 2024, suffering three consecutive defeats. Languishing at the bottom of the points table, the five-time IPL champions are in dire need of a turnaround, and Suryakumar's presence promises to add firepower to their batting lineup.

With an impressive tally of 605 runs in the last edition, he emerged as MI's leading run-scorer, exhibiting remarkable consistency and a brilliant strike rate of 181.13.
As the Number One ranked batter in the ICC T20I rankings, Suryakumar brings not only experience but also a winning mindset to the Mumbai Indians' setup. With eyes set on breaking their losing streak, MI will be banking on their star player to replicate his past heroics and steer them to victory in IPL 2024.
Mumbai is set to play their next match at their home ground at the iconic Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, against Rajasthan Royals, followed by a match against Royal Challengers Bangalore at the same venue, Wankhede.
