An interesting event unfolded during the second innings of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) vs Delhi Capitals (DC) game. DC keeper Abishek Porel gave wrong inputs for a DRS call which most likely led to him getting replaced by KL Rahul behind the stumps. The replays showed that the CSK batter Vijay Shankar would have been plumb in front which would have seen Starc get another wicket in the game and DC their third.

Straight after that debacle, KL Rahul was seen donning the gloves, which led the fans to believe that Porel was relieved of his duty behind the stumps due to the wrong call he gave when asked the question after the appeal. This was perhaps one of the rare and surprising moments during a match recently.

The first innings of the match saw the visiting side giving the Yellow Brigade a target of 184. The now wicket-keeper Rahul opened the innings with Jake Fraser-McGurk and scored an innings-defining 77 off 51 balls. Captain Axar Patel, Sameer Rizvi, and Tristan Stubbs contributed crucial 20s to give DC a respectable score. At one point, they looked like getting to 200 but wickets towards the end pulled the total back considerably.
