The mega auction of the IPL (Indian Premier League) 2025 is looming on the horizon, the event is all set to be held in Jeddah on November 24 and 25, and a total of 574 players will be seen participating in the auction. One of the stars in the auction would be Bangladesh’s Rishad Hossain.
The 22-year-old recently came forward and gave his thoughts on the upcoming IPL auction. He opined that he does not expect much from the auction but expressed his wish to play in the tournament.
He opined that he would love to represent Chennai Super Kings in the tournament and that he would feel bad if he were to be picked by another side in the auction, given that he is selected.
"Everyone has a wish (to play in the IPL). But I don't expect too much. I don't hope too much so that I don't have to get hurt. I didn't think of anything like this. Suppose I thought of Chennai (Super Kings), but if I get picked by another team. Then I may feel bad,” Hossain was quoted as saying by the Daily Star.

It is worth noting that Hossain has been selected by Hobart Hurricanes in the BBL, but he has been concerned about playing for Bangladesh's Rangpur Riders in the Global Super League. The young cricketer further revealed that he has never thought about his goals in advance and want to progress himself match-by-match.
"I do not think of any goal in advance. I just want to continue with match by match. I will go with the normal plan. As our opponents are four different teams. I will try my best against them. If you play well in one place, chances will increase in a few other places. I will try to do well," concluded Rishad.
