There were huge actions taken towards Digvesh Rathi for his "notebook" celebration in the ongoing IPL 2025 season. The right-arm mystery spinner was fined 25 per cent of his match fee for this celebration against PBKS, which was also debated by some of the experts and commentators as well.

It was expected off the 25-year-old to amend the way he celebrates or even stop doing it completely. However, he continued his trademark style to rejoice the wicket, but instead of approaching the departed the batter, Digvesh has now started "writing" at the ground near the 22-yards. Now, much to his relief, the BCCI has decided to amend the rules, claiming that his style of celebrating the dismissals won't be counted under the Code of Conduct breach.

Notably, the amendments to the Code of Conduct policies were changed following a weekly Umpires and Match Referee meet, which raised the topic of being lenient towards bowlers and their ways of celebrations, of which Digvesh is one of the biggest beneficiaries.

What happened in MI vs LSG, Match 45?

Meanwhile, the LSG had a disappointing outing against Mumbai Indians, as they went on to lose the game by a huge 54-run margin at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Batting first, the MI batting unit saw Ryan Rickelton and Suryakumar Yadav put up astonishing knocks in the innings, while Naman Dhir provided the finishing touch for them to post a total of 215/7 at the end of 20 overs.

Digvesh did manage to bowl decently in the game and even had Rickelton make his way back to the pavilion after providing a thunderous start to the hosts. However, the visiting Lucknow side looked nowhere in the chase, as they were bundled out for 161 in the end. MI have now climbed up to the second spot on the IPL 2025 Points Table.
