One of the most anticipated events of the year, the IPL (Indian Premier League) 2025 mega auction took place in Jeddah on November 24 and 25. The 10 franchises put in their best efforts to rope in the best possible players for their respective teams.
There were many players like Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, and many more who were expected to attract huge sums in the auction. The same was the case as Rishabh Pant was roped in by Lucknow Super Giants for a whopping INR 27 crore price.
Furthermore, Shreyas Iyer was bought by Punjab Kings for INR 26.75 crore as well. With a plethora of players being roped in by the sides, the IPL 2025 promises to be an exciting affair yet again.
It is worth noting that Punjab Kings came into the mega auction with the biggest purse out of all the franchises. Furthermore, Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bengaluru had a sizable budget in the auction as well. Roping in several big names, it is safe to say that all the sides have made the most of their budgets and built strong squads for the new season of the IPL.
