There are certain things that fans are prohibited from carrying inside a stadium during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. Fans planning to visit the stadiums to watch their favourite teams in action during the 18th edition of the cash-rich league should remember some of the points mentioned in this article to ensure a hassle-free experience.
The entry gates for all IPL games this season will open approximately three hours before the start of the match. Entry will be refused if the barcode on the ticket has been tampered with or if this ticket has been torn, defaced, damaged or tampered with in any way. Some franchises like Mumbai Indians have decided that physical tickets won't be needed to get an entry into their home stadium. Check the details in the ticket section at the time of purchase.
It is important to note that once a fan enters the stadium, that individual cannot leave and then re-enter. For better understanding, suppose a fan has to leave the stadium after entering it due to any reason, he will not be allowed to re-enter with the ticket he had used earlier. The ticket allows the holder access to only the area of the stadium in which the relevant seat is located and no other part of the stadium. Also, refunds will only be made if the match is cancelled or abandoned without a single ball being bowled.

No outside food will be allowed. Carrying alcohol inside the stadium is prohibited. Smoking and drinking are not allowed inside the stadium.
Children of two years of age or more than that must have their ticket and all persons under the age of 18 must be accompanied by and under the supervision of (in each case constantly) an adult, who also has a ticket for the match.
IPL 2025 is set to begin on Saturday, March 22, as three-time champions and last year's winner Kolkata Knight Riders square off against Rajat Patidar-led Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The BCCI has also arranged a gala opening ceremony ahead of the clash with iconic singer Shreya Ghoshal and Bollywood actress Disha Patani set to perform in the City of Joy.
