Gujarat Titans (GT) performed magnificently against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. The visitors chased down a target of 170 runs within 18 overs and with eight wickets to spare. It was a brilliant batting display by Sai Sudharsan (49 off 36), Jos Buttler (73* off 39), and Sherfane Rutherford (30* off 18).

Buttler was asked about Phil Salt's dropped catch during the post-match presentation, to which he said he was 'embarrassed.' He dropped an easy catch towards the start of the innings, but to his good luck, the batter did not survive longer thereafter.

"Enjoyed batting, the bowlers were fantastic, the fielding could have being better, myself better, we might have been chasing 30 runs less. I was embarrassed (on his dropped catch), Salty was a dangerous batter, I tired to celebrate in a Herschelle Gibbs style, tried to celebrate way too early. There was a bit of movement early on with the new ball, so credit to our openers for having played out the initial period," said Buttler at the post-match presentation.

"The fielding could have been better, but we have our bases covered, some fine bowlers, quality batters and some dangerous hitters in our squad," the Englishman concluded.

I was a bit emotional: Mohammed Siraj

Mohammed Siraj returned to M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru to play an IPL match but for an opponent side. The pacer was with RCB for seven years and was an important part of the team. Now, on the same grounds, he won the Player of the Match for his three wickets against his former franchise.

"I was a bit emotional. I was here for 7 years, changed jersey from red to blue and was emotional but once I got the ball I was fine. I am Ronaldo's fan and hence the celebration. I had been playing consistently, but during the break I corrected my mistakes and worked on my fitness. Once I was picked up by Gujarat Titans, I spoke to Ashish (Nehra) Bhai," said Mohammed Siraj at the time of receiving his Player of the Match award.
