IPL 2025: KL Rahul set to return for Delhi Capitals' game against Sunrisers Hyderabad

KL Rahul will play Delhi Capitals' match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, just six days after the birth of his first child. The star batter will join DC's camp before March 30, when they face SRH in their upcoming game, as per the latest reports. While Rahul was reported to miss out on 3–4 games, he is likely to play all the remaining games for DC in the IPL 2025.

Rahul and his wife Athiya Shetty were blessed with a baby girl. The couple took to Instagram and came up with a post to confirm the good news with the fans. Since then, the wishes have been pouring down on the couple. Notably, DC players and support staff wished the couple on their happy moment.

DC and Rahul had two reasons to celebrate, as the baby girl was born and the Delhi-based franchise claimed a thrilling 1-wicket win in their first match of the season against Lucknow Super Giants. Many claimed the cricketer's newborn baby to be a lucky charm, as DC beat LSG after being out of the game at one stage.

SRH to challenge Delhi on March 30

Delhi, after getting off to a winning start, will be facing Sunrisers in their upcoming game. The 2020 runner-ups will have a tough challenge against arguably the best batting unit of the league. The Pat Cummins-led side does have a lot of firepower in their batting line-up. The Orange Army bats deep and additionally has a good bowling line-up as well.

On the other hand, DC's top order was exposed in the match against LSG. Chasing 210, DC were reduced to 65/5 at one stage. It was the brilliance of the emerging players, like Vipraj Nigam and Ashutosh Sharma, who helped DC to get over the line. DC could be tested against SRH on March 30.

The Capitals will face the Sunrisers at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam. The venue had a lot of spin in it in the DC vs LSG game. If the trend continues, spinners might play a big role and there could be a change in the team combination. Batters might find it a bit difficult to get going in the middle overs.
