RR's run-chase in just 15.5 overs was the fastest a team has chased a 200-plus total in IPL history.

Rajasthan Royals dominated through to a convincing eight-wicket victory against Gujarat Titans at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Monday, April 28. It was their third win of the season.
The hosts chased down 210 with 25 deliveries to spare, courtesy Vaibhav Suryavanshi's blazing century (101 off 38) and Yashasvi Jaiswal's 40-ball 70-run knock. Rashid Khan was the most economical bowler from both sides. The Afghan leggie conceded only 24 runs in his four-over quota.
Earlier in the evening, GT posted 209 on the board. Shubman Gill top-scored with 84 off 50 to his name. Jos Buttler's quick-fire knock of 50* (26) helped the visitors gain much-needed impetus towards the end. Sandeep Sharma emerged as the most economical bowler from RR.
Talking Points
1. Buttler turns back time to haunt RR
The former RR stalwart was not included in RR's plans ahead of IPL 2025, leading to GT acquiring his services. He came back to bite his former franchise with a breezy half-century in his first game at a place which was his second home for seven years.
2. 14 year-old Suryavanshi storms into the record books
Playing in just his third IPL innings, Suryavanshi announced his name to the whole world with an outworldly knock. Getting to his ton in 35 balls, the southpaw became the second-fastest Indian to get to the milestone in the history of the IPL as well as the joint-most sixes by an Indian in an innings in the marquee league.
3. Karim Janat has IPL debut to forget
The Afghani bowling all-rounder was provided his maiden IPL cap. Coming in for Sherfane Rutherford, it was a nightmarish experience for Janat. He conceded a whopping 30 runs in the only over he bowled. The teen sensation from the opposition absolutely ripped Janat's bowling apart.
Who Said What?
Shubman Gill (losing captain)
They took the game away from us in the powerplay and credit to them for that. There were a couple of things that we could have done better but it's very easy to sit out and say those things. Some chances came early our way, couldn't grab those but in hindsight I think there are some areas that we need to work on as a group. (On sitting out in the second innings) Felt a little back spasm in my back and we have a game couple of days after this, so the physio didn't want to take a chance. What happened in the previous match - win or lose - we take one game as it is. The next match is at Ahmedabad, we have had a good run there, so hopefully we'll be able to continue that. (On Vaibhav Suryavanshi) It was his day. His hitting was just tremendous and he made full use of his day.
Riyan Parag (winning captain)
It was incredible. We spent 2 months with him and seen what we can do. And to do it against world-class bowlers against GT, words can't express. We changed it from the last game, we were thinking how can we finish this a little earlier, bat with real intent. We practised a lot and we implemented it today, it came off. You can learn everyday watching the IPL. Learn how RCB do things, how Surya bhai does his stuff. A big one, we were searching for this win. It came one-sided which makes me happy. See what wicket we get next game and then decide.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi (Player of the Match)
It is a very good feeling. It's my first hundred in the IPL and it's my third innings. The result has shown here after the practice before the tournament. I just see the ball and play. Batting with Jaiswal is good, he tells me what to do and he infuses positive things. It has been a dream to get a 100 in the IPL and today it materialised. There is no fear. I don't think much, I just focus on playing.
