Rishabh Pant's captaincy career with the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) didn't start on a good note as they lost the first game against Delhi Capitals (DC) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The wicket-keeper batter missed a crucial stumping as well, which turned the tables for the team. Following the game, LSG owner Sanjiv Goenka was seen conversing with the player and head coach Justin Langer.

The videos went viral on social media as the fans connected the incident to that of KL Rahul, which happened in the previous season. Goenka was seen having animated chats with Rahul after they lost a game and received a lot of criticism for it. However, this time, things were different. Goenka took to his social media and posted the picture with a caption, "Intensity on the ground, camaraderie off it. Looking ahead to the next one."

Delhi Capitals (DC) were asked to chase 210 runs, which they did efficiently, thanks to Ashutosh Sharma and Vipraj Nigam. From 113-6 to winning the game, it was an incredible run-chase for the team. New skipper Axar Patel would be proud of his boys for excelling on the field.

Ashutosh Sharma scored an unbeaten half-century to pull off run chase against LSG

This isn't the first time Ashutosh Sharma has shown the world what he is capable of. In the previous season of the IPL, while he was playing for PBKS, he did something similar. However, this innings will surely go down as one of the best because of the game's situation.

He scored an unbeaten 66 runs off 31 balls, hitting five boundaries and five sixes. The batter didn't let the game slip away from DC, even for a moment. They needed just six runs in the last over but had only one wicket in hand. Also, Mohit Sharma was in the strike. The player somehow rotated the strike, and Ashutosh hit the winning six. He will remember this innings for a long time and gain confidence from it.
