Vajra Super Shot, an anti-drone system to detect the movement of unauthorised drone activity and aerial threats in real time, has been introduced at the IPL 2025 following the recent terrorist attack in Jammu & Kashmir's Pahalgam.

The governing body of the IPL has taken the step to strengthen the safety of the players and the fans. The special defense technology, which was prepared by Big Bang Boom Solutions Pvt. Ltd. (BBBS) in Chennai, made its IPL debut during the rain-affected 44th match of the 18th edition of the league between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) at Eden Gardens on April 26.

The defense technology is capable to detect drones within a distance of a four-kilometer radius using the adaptive frequency technology. The Vajra Super Shot is also lightweight and portable. Following the heinous incident at Pahalgam, the IPL has addressed the need to strengthen the safety across all the venues. With tensions between India and Pakistan rising, the BCCI's decision to increase security has been praised.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi accuses India of using Pahalgam attack to their objectives

PCB Chairman, Mohsin Naqvi, released a statement against India following the Pahalgam attack. Naqvi claimed Pakistan was fully prepared to find perpetrators behind the attack.

“Pakistan is ready to fully cooperate with any neutral party conducting a probe, as we seek to expose the real perpetrators behind the attack,” Geo News reported as quoted by Naqvi.

However, he took a dig at India and claimed that Pakistan's economic stability was intolerable for their neighbors. Naqvi asked the world to observe the world's largest democracy using terrorism to achieve their ‘objectives’.

“Pakistan's economic stability is intolerable for India. The world must see how the country that claims to be the largest democracy is using terrorism to achieve its objectives,” The Express Tribune reported as quoted by Naqvi.
