Prince Yadav recently got rid of the dangerous-looking Travis Head during Match 7 of the Indian Premier League between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Lucknow Super Giants at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Thursday, March 27. Notably, Head became the promising quick's debut IPL wicket.

A breakthrough Delhi Premier League season last year, where Prince claimed 13 wickets in 10 innings, was his claim to fame. The right-armer represented Delhi in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024 and the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024-25. In eight T20s for Delhi, Prince snagged 11 wickets while conceding only 7.54 runs per over. He ended up as Delhi's leading wicket-taker in the VHT, accounting 11 wickets in six innings while averaging 22.

After these performances, he was acquired by LSG for INR 30 lakh during the two-day mega auction in Jeddah in November last year. Notably, Prince was a part of the LSG setup in 2023 as a net bowler. He made his debut in LSG's clash against Delhi Capitals on March 24. However, it was a game to forget. Prince conceded 47 runs in his four-over quota.

Prince's second game ended up in much better fashion. He ended up conceding only 29 runs in his four overs. Head's dismissal truly turned things around for his side. He conceded only two fours against a robust SRH batting order during his entire spell.

As for First-Class cricket, Prince has played only two games. He has managed to pick up only one wicket in the red-ball format. However, Prince seems to be an exciting prospect as far as any of the white-ball formats are concerned. It will be interesting to see how he fares for LSG in the remainder of the season.
