MS Dhoni is set to don the iconic Chennai Super Kings (CSK) jersey once again in the 18th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Notably, the former India skipper will turn 44 in July 2025. After leading CSK to a record-equalling fifth IPL title, he underwent knee surgery in June 2023. Despite concerns about his fitness, he returned for IPL 2024 and played all 14 matches, silencing critics. MS Dhoni not only featured in every game but also delivered with the bat, finishing with an impressive average of 53.67 and a staggering strike rate of 220.55.

His last competitive appearance came against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in IPL 2024, which turned out to be CSK's final game of the season.
